Excellence-level education through ISICT
Students enrolled in the M.Sc. program can also access the additional excellence-level education service offered by the Institute for Advanced Studies in ICT (ISICT). ISICT is a consortium including the University of Genoa together with Ligurian institutions and enterprises. It offers economic grants, possible accommodation, and economic support for theses abroad to the most brilliant students, and provides additional courses to complement and further potentiate their education. The high-level scientific and technological background offered by the M.Sc. program in Internet & Multimedia Engineering allows M.Sc. graduates, who wish to pursue further their education in the ICT area, to apply for doctoral and 2nd-level master positions and be strong candidates in the related ranking procedures.

The University of Genoa is also the coordinator of the Erasmus Mundus Joint Doctoral Programme in Interactive and Cognitive Environments (ICE), which is an international Ph.D. program in the field of research related to computer science, electronics and telecommunication engineering, and also involves the Technische Universiteit Eindhoven (Germany), the Universitat Politecnica de Catalunya (Spain), the Universitaet Klagenfurt (Austria), and the Queen Mary University of London (UK).
